Like Justin said, check DareToCare.org and the posted hours of your nearest location but I would suggest one additional step - as needed. Try to find phone numbers to double check. DareToCare isn't the best at updating schedule changes online. I once got incorrect times from a website and recorded message, eventually only got correct time from a social worker. Wasted a week.

If possible, it would be best to go there & consult with someone in the front office. I was told that you could for that first visit & they would sign you up to be able to get food in a location near where you live.

There is a thrift store in the shopping center in Buchel that I know has some. Depends on what you're looking for. Decent furniture at a decent price. It's a shot.

I think dare to care is local to Ky and in. But I would hope there are similar agencies in texas.

Call and ask for the closest food bank distribution center closest to you. You'll either have to use taric if available or like me because I live in rural bullitt county I have to either have a friend or family member take me or call and use a cab. Sorry I hardly think or doubt that any food banks deliver, they are all run by volunteers.

If you go to their facility on fern valley you can sign up there to volunteer. You can also learn about all the different programs you can volunteer for.

Google nearest dare to csre food bank. Call to verify times. Arrive. Ask for "monthly" bag and "emergency" bag . Answer nice ladys questions. Take a bags home. Repeat monthly / quarterly iirc.
