Progressive Insurance has created such undue hardship for me for an accident that was the fault of their client. The actions of the representatives/claims specialist are borderline unethical. It's one thing to provide a low offer on a vehicle Progressive has deemed as totaled. It's another thing to not be accommodating with rental car, providing tight timelines that makes it very difficult to resolved issues in a reasonable time frame. The representatives have lied to me and are not forthcoming on critical information that would allow me to move forward. In short, their client hit me on January 5, 2022. I was not able to get into a body shop until March 14th 2022. I receive a call at the end of a Friday evening, March 24th, that my car is totaled and I need to clean my vehicle out and return my rental by Wednesday, March 30th. Not only did Progressive find the least valued cars to make me a settlement offer, of which I sent them four actual/verifiable links to actual costs of vehicles that are comparable to mine, they waited almost two weeks to review my vehicle of which I thought was getting fixed and provided me with this artificial timeline to accept an offer and return the rental. I am again needing to pivot and work through having no vehicle, no payment for a replacement vehicle, while I cannot speak to an actual manager or get good information regarding my claim. Progressive could at least accommodate me or work with me throughout this process, but they actually are creating conditions for me that are unfair, unrealistic, and possible unethical. UPDATE: Came to an agreed upon amount for my totaled vehicle on March 31, 2022. As of April 18th, I have not received my check and had to jump through a number of more obstacles that contradict what I was told would happen and to expect.

Maybe I can prevent someone from the bully -ish behavior I experienced. Wow! My checking account had a large negative balance today. I found out they processed a auto payment . Weird. I didn't know that because I paid with checking account twice that they can then put you in auto pay. Also I spoke with representative day before and said I was not happy with them and their 27 percent increase and would go somewhere else. They A manager named Linda I think listened to phone recording and said that I did not use word " Cancel" so they didn't have to do what I asked. Did you know that you had to use word " Cancel" on a auto pay that you didn't know was auto pay? Very sleepy , cheap and deceptive. Even for Progressive. They should hire educated people who can interpret words like -- Don't want, going to another company. Not just cancel.They also never get back to you about accident. They think you are not going to notice.

If I could give them a lower rating I would. It’s been a week since my wreck. Took days to get ahold of someone other than my agent. Still haven’t got a rental car. They just keep shuffling me around. This is my insurance company or they was I’m dropping them as soon as I find another company. They are worthless. Guess I’m taking them to court.
