Really neat area to explore. The area seems a bit sketchy, but not too bad. The locks themselves are a lot bigger than I anticipated. It would have been really cool if the walkways on the structure were opened to the public, but they were not. The area also seems to draw in a lot of folks for fishing.

If you are over 16, yes. You can get them online, through the GA Outdoors app, or at Walmart.
Of course there's plenty of spots to fish & trails
