I came in to see if I could get a custom engagement ring made based on a specific design I had found. However, my fiancé and I were treated as second rate customers. We were brushed off, and they got our contact information only to never follow up. They also took no notes on what we wanted, did not ask a single question about specific design preferences, took no pictures of the specific design in question, and was focused more on putting up showcase jewelry rather than give us full service. We came in 30 minutes until closing, but that should not give the workers the right to act as though helping us is a chore. You would think that wanting to get a custom platinum piece would at least make them excited to help but no. We were in and out in less than 3 minutes, which is horrible when I came in for a custom consultation. I went to Sylvan’s in Columbia after a week and a half of no contact. I was treated well, the sales person was engaged with our ideas, they asked questions, and tried to make our dream come true. This process in its entirety took an hour and some change, and it felt like no time at all based on how excited everyone involved in the process was. All of which Moseley’s failed to do. I want to support local businesses as I reside in the Lexington area, but I refuse to accommodate flippant disregard toward the most important piece of jewelry in my soon-to-be wife’s life. Edit: Changed to 5 stars. Mr. Moseley reached out and was extremely courteous. Mistakes happen, and the ability to rectify and lead change once alerted is commendable. I hope to be able to use this establishment some time in the future with a better experience.
