I lived in a 1-bedroom furnished apartment at Darby Terrace for a year. Management was very responsive (fixing a shelf within hours) when I had a problem. While the building looks old from the outside, furnishings and appliances were up to date inside. I learned that the building was above code for fire-wall-- which explains why I never heard my neighbors through the walls. I appreciated the flexibility of the lease.

For short or long term move this Apt complex was perfect. Very close to uptown and NODA. The move in process was simple and quick. All my needs were met. Would highly recommend!

Ok, I had a friend that lived here and had to move back to Ohio for medical reasons and fell in love with the place when he was here… I moved in April of 2017 and at about 9 or 10 in the evening it’s quite even that it’s on central Ave… you have two busses that pass right by a #9 and #17 a mile one way you find the Fire department and a mile going to the city the Police… so it is as safe as can be expected… built in 1960 but is in better then all the others I have seen. They seem to renovate before the next person moves in… The owners are the family it’s been in the family from the beginning… and it shows it … There are 4 Mexican Restaurants with in walking distance two Vietnamese and the number one sandwich shop in Charlotte right next door serv/ save grocery store it was an old A&P grocery store…. and there biggest sandwich takes me three days to eat… all cakes are scratch made but they only accept cash in the sandwich shop only… you will love it.
