I called Dan Marc to repair/level a Maytag washer. The first visit consisted of the tech coming with a basic set of tools, screw driver, etc. He was unaware that he was supposed to level the machine. We worked together for a while and he eventually said "Your foot is stripped," and shoved a board under the foot to "level" it. That board wasn't thick enough and my first load of wash was walking around the room until I stopped in and wedged something else in there. Now comes the repair. I let the tech know that the machine was leaking even without being in cycle and he seemed to think this was a minor detail. He diagnosed the issue as a soap dispenser. He orders the part, and schedules a follow up. That appointment is then cancelled, and rescheduled. When the second appointment comes up, the tech is there early. He installs the unit and we say our goodbyes. I'm confident the machine is good to go. When I return from work I decide to check if there is any water but feel that what I'm doing is more a formality than a requirement. To my dismay I am met with a very familiar puddle, one that seems to persist even when the washer isn't in cycle. At this point a phone call to the company is needed and I proceed to call. When I get someone one the phone operator walks through the issue and says simply "All I can say is I'm sorry and are you available Wednesday." At this point I'm looking at a bill for several hundred dollars and almost a week taken off of work because Dan Marc only tells you the window of time they will be there the day before the come. That window is usually something like 10-1pm so going to work becomes difficult. At this point I'll have little option but to proceed and hope to God they understand that this repair is costing me much more than what they invoice says.

Avoid this company at all costs! We have been getting the runaround for a month now in getting our washing machine serviced. They keep saying the part is on backorder but won’t even provide an order number or tracking update. Did try to get us to pay cash in getting other work done in our basement but won’t service the actual work they were called for.

Very professional

How much time does it take to replace a glass in kitchenaid oven? Your technician could not do it during his visit. The guy on youtube did the job in 10 minutes...

Hello Vladimir, The answer to this question really depends on the specific situation. If it is an easy unit to access, the job can take little time to complete. Some units are harder to access, for example if it is in a tight spot or if the technician is having a hard time getting to the part needing repair. In these instances, the job can take longer. If a unit is difficult to pull out, we may send a second technician back with him to avoid damaging the area surrounding the unit. For these reasons, the time for repair varies based on where the unit is located and how it was installed. We hope this answers your question. If you need further assistance, we can be reached at 973-226-1000. Thank you!

Why do you not stock parts for units before hand and wait to order parts after the service call? If you are given a diagnosis before the tech get to the house the parts needed to repair should be on the truck. Waste of tech and customers time.
