We worked with Roberto and forman Esteban to work within a tight time frame on a multi - room project. They were able to work within our constraints and were always prompt and professional. They are knowledgeable, explaining (throughout process ) what they were doing to stay on schedule and what needed to be done in order to achieve the results we required. The work speaks volumes, and it ultimately an investment of quality in your home. Ask yourself If you deserve the best, these guys will bring you the best. Not inexpensive, but for "Value Add" remember the cheap route ultimately becomes expensive in the long run when you try to cut corners. Call them and schedule a consult without hesitation. Ask to meet with estimator Roberto, and crew led by foreman Esteban. Work included painting several rooms including ceilings. Repairs on plaster ceilings and we chose to expand more detailed oriented work on our stairs (spindles, rails, posts etc..)

Monks did a great job refinishing our hardwood floors. Roberto was very responsive and professional and the crew showed up on time every day.

Ive worked with Monks on several projects on my home. Roberto is the estimator in the area and he is great to work with. He is always respectful and responsive. I highly recommend Monks for your home improvements project.

I had Monk's paint my living room, dining room, kitchen along with some tiling, foyer and hallway. They do not prep properly at ALL. I had to tell the painters to spackle where there were obvious cracks, dents and nail pops. Monk's provides a "Project Manager" who I saw twice - once to start the job and collect a check and then mid-way through the project to collect another check. At the end of the job, the "project manager" called me to say the crew said they are finished - any issues? How about coming to my home and do a final walk through with me? As a customer - I acted as the project manager, telling the crew how to spackle, making sure they put two coats on, painting doors etc. I left a message at the office to speak with the owners Ty and Trevor - never heard back. I will NEVER use Monks again.

Hi, Naomi. We would need to come out to see it in person, but we typically handle that type of job all the time. Thanks for asking.

Can you install a screen door? It was already purchased.

Hello...is it possible to stain or paint a composite deck? If so do you do that kind of work?

Hi Donna, It is possible to paint a composite deck. There are products on the market that can be used for painting composite. However, composite decks can be made from different materials, some of which are very difficult to paint (it could just peel off). If you know the manufacturer of your deck, I would see what they recommend. Something to keep in mind is that you will likely void your warranty if you paint. Since we don't recommend it, we don't typically paint composite decking.

Can you repair vinyl flooring that has spaces between the floor boards

Are you talking about vinyl planks that are separating? We'd have to take a look and see. If you are interested in having a free estimate, please give us a call at 973-635-7900.

I gave an engineered floor that is peeling in small parts. I am told it cannot be sanded. Is there any kind of refinishing you can do?

Hi, That is true for engineered floors. The best option would be to replace the peeling boards with new matching planks. Hopefully you have a leftover box with some extra planks? However, because of sun exposure on the current floor, there will still likely be a slight color difference.
