We stayed here for 10 days and it was during Hurricane Ian. They couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating with campers during this time. We changed spots to avoid being under large trees and we weren't the only ones who did. It was really rough looking in there after the storm but these KOA employees all worked together and had everything back in order within a day. We lost power for about 24 hours but that wasn't on them. It's a Beautiful place with GREAT and helpful people! We are full-timers so we go to all kinds of campgrounds and this one I will remember π

Great staff and a wonderful place to make life-long memories.

Nice peaceful campground. Friendly service and accommodations. The location is good, not too far from public beaches and local attractions. Shoppers opportunities are within easy driving distance. The facilities are well maintained. We definitely plan on staying there again.

My home is just across the highway from this campground. I work out of state and only have the opportunity to get home for a week or so every few months. This place has a really nice lake and I hoped to take my 4 year old son out for the day to catch his first fish. I went to the front office and asked if we could get a day pass or something just to fish on the lake. I was told a straight grumpy no. You can only use the lake if you have a reservation. 0 people were currently enjoying the lake. They didn't even give an I'm sorry and we wish we could help you out. That just really rubbed me wrong. On the good carma side I ended up taking my son to the drainage pond 500 feet from the house and the boy caught a bass on the first cast. Life works out that way sometimes.

Yes
There are no trails or off highway riding areas. If you obey the park speed limits and are driving a street legal vehicle, I presume you would be okay. I suggest you call them and verify the foregoing.
Are you hiring for housekeeping
Yes. There is wifi in the cabins, but if sucks. The have fiber optics in the ground. You can go to the office and get ethernet cables and modem for free your inter stay.
Not sure if you can rent RV's. I've just always known of people with there own. If they do tht would be pretty kool! Maybe you could call the Office and ask tho... sorry I couldn't be of any help. Have a wonderful day
I believe a tent site is 1pm. And a cabin is 2 or 3. Idk about RV site.
I don't think so but you can call then and ask
5 bucks an hour I think. They have a daily rate too, which I think is 10 maybe 20. I rented there a few months ago, paddled the lake in less than an hour but it might have been nice to just have them for the day, especially for the kids.
Most of the people working in the park are "workampers". Successful applicants have to sign a contract committing to a specific number of hours of work per week for a specific period of weeks or months. Call the campground and talk to the Manager for details.
You would have to call to find out
Some of the cabins are handicap accessible. I'm not sure if the "deluxe" cabins are accessible. I do know they only permit registered service dogs in cabins. Otherwise, I don't believe they allow pets in any cabins.
Swimming is prohibited due to gators like Josh said
They vary due to season and site type, so call them.
They reopened in Monday 17th
You would have to call about AARP, but pets are allowed.
I think around 70-80 bucks a night but they also have rv and tent spots which are cheaper.
Do you mean snowbird? You would have to contact them.
It depends on what you want. Tent sites are just under 40. And it goes up from there for camper.
$37 a night plus tax for tent site no electricity. Availability on electric sites are slim to none.
Why don't you go to the KOA website and get all the information you need. It includes pictures.
They have several pull throughs. Prices vary even with senior discounts
It depends on which type of cabin you reserve. You can select from rustic, which just have bare beds ( bring your own sheets), or you can select deluxe cabins that supply sheets and have more amenities. All the deluxe have a fridge and several have a cooking kitchen.
As all have replied previously, this KOA is lovely but expensive. We are not crazy about "resort" campgrounds. This facility is better than some, very conscious of and strict with enforcement of the campgrond rules and quiet times. We would consider visiting again but not in the heat of summer. The hazy, hot and humid cliche is given new meaning, and when you experience it - WOW. It is, in spite of this, a lovely spot. Bring lots of bug spray and don't swim in their pond (alligators) - it ga a main of law and could be hazardous to your health.
Please remember, we guides don't work for the campground. We're simply folks who've been there or live near there & willing to share our experiences.
The Mt. Pleasant KOA can accommodate any size RV. It also has cabins for rent. The campground is beautiful & sits on a big pond. Close to Charleston.
There are bikes to rent but no golf carts. Very walkable for those who are able.
Can't remember. We had a deluxe site and it was well worth it. Would do that again.
they vary some due to being a seasonally driven item. They're great to work with - just give them a call or try to book online and it will show you the rates before finalizing
Was told that it's been booked for over 8 months prior to the eclipse.
