This is a great place to launch a kayak. My brother and I went kayaking on the Ashley River on the 14 of September and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and we launched around 8:00 am. The slow moving river and mother nature will comfort you with peace and harmony. The birds will sing and the fish will jump. I will be making this journey again for sure. This is like stepping back in time and I highly recommend this to anyone who likes being outdoors.

Folks do kayak on the Edisto River, but this access location is on the Ashley River.
Not really, it's a very small parking area. Possibly you could park away from the lot, there are a couple roads closed se to the landing.
