This place is Terribly incompetent place. The DMV website needs to post update info about closings and schedules online.Went there early on a Saturday morning because it says it's open from 8am-12pm waited in line in the rain just to find out from a sign on the door of the DMV facility saying that location is temporarily closed on Saturdays until further notice.

Terrible experience at this location. I went there to get a state ID card with a relative. The requirements on the NCDMV site stated that a birth certificate would be proof of ID. I didn't have his SS card, but I furnished his SS number which was on a tax form that We filed along with his birth certificate. They wouldn't issue him an ID card even though he had at least two items they posted on their site that he needed.A birth certificate and a SS number.

Harrisburg dmv is pretty quick with title work and registration. Never been in there more than 25 min. In and out. No app needed
You can do walk ups but be prepared to wait a long while because appts go first. Get there early too
