My son ordered a Nintendo 3DS online. Unfortunately, it was a Japanese import, took over a month to arrive, and all of the gaming text/information was in Japanese. My son was both disappointed and distraught. He told me there were places where we could trade in his import and, for a little more, get one in English. My son contacted GameStop and was told that they only had 2DSs on hand. They did, however, recommend that we try Planet Fun. It is located in downtown Savannah, so I was immediately annoyed. Downtown is so congested and tourist-y. You can NEVER find a convenient place to park, so you have to wear comfortable walking shoes when you head in that direction. We went to Planet Fun several days later and as per the norm, could not find a parking spot. Because they were about to close in half an hour, I parked illegally (shhhh...our little secret). I was UNPREPARED for what I was about to see and experience! I am 52-years-old which means I grew up in the 1970s and 80s. Most people don't know it but I am TOTALLY a Star Trek-Star Wars-Marvel Comics-DC Comics- all around sci-fi NERD!!! Planet Fun was AWESOME! They had ALL kinds of nerdy memorabilia, retro video games (like Pac Man and Ms. Pac man games slightly smaller than the 80s arcade versions), life size characters (like a formidable Darth Vader that I talked myself out of purchasing), cool comic collectible cards from the 80s and 90s (made of plastic to be more durable), and many other AMAZING hidden gems! My son did not get as much for the trade-in as he was hoping for (he paid $150 for the import) and still had to pay nearly $100 to get the English version that was priced at only $140. That kind of sucked, but the guy at the counter was very patient with us as we asked questions about trading practices and other concerns. Even though the store was closing, he never rushed us or made us feel anxious. I wish I had snapped pictures inside of this wondrous place, but I will DEFINITELY go back to buy some stuff (and snap pictures way before closing time LOL). I would have given Planet Fun 5 stars instead of 4, but I thought the trade-in amount was meager. We should have just bought the $140 English version and auctioned off the Japanese version online. If you are all sci-fi and nerdy like me, for sure check out Planet Fun, Beloveds.

Best store in Savannah! They have everything- comics, Star Wars, Star Trek, HeMan, GI joe, Barbie, Surfside, Pokémon, toys from your youth. There is no need to search distant galaxies- the Planet of Fun is here! Go check it out- you will never be the same! You might run into professional wrestlers, aliens, or even live Power Rangers!v Favorite place in Savannah!!!

Place is super cool, I love going here! Their pricing is weird, some things aren't worth looking at for price, some things are priced very low. Definitely worth checking out every time you visit

This store took me back to my childhood and I loved it.

They enforce the mask-wearing policy and they do limit how many people can be in the store at once, since it's a bit of a smaller space.
I don't know the full extent of their gaming/Nintendo inventory -- BUT Planet Fun is mainly vintage things, i.e. 1960s-1980s. So you might find an SNES but probably not a Switch.
I do believe so they took master card so they should be set up to take it
Yes! If you call ahead and are looking for a specific one they should be able to tell you if they have it or not or could possibly keep an eye out for you and call you if they get one in. Just call and ask for John the owner or Savannah a long time employee. ♥
They do, but expect to get what you want for them
Depends on if any have been sold to them and if they're in working condition.
Whenever I try to message them online via things like their Facebook page it can take days for them to respond. This place is basically a nerd pawn shop though. So what they have will be very random
I would check on Facebook Marketplace.. I buy random game's from there all the time...
Not yet
Yes
(I do not work here) as a second hand shop they will occasionally have Sanrio merch new new old.
Yes, Planet Fun buys comics and I buy mine from Planet Fun
I believe since 2017. A scad graduate came back and created it.
I believe so. I'm not 100% sure though!
They accept Nintendo 64 consoles and games.
They stand behind there stuff. Great people, made probably over 100 purchases..
I actually have an Xbox 360 that I am trying to sell. I have 2 controllers that are AA Battery Operated. And about 10 games for it. What's your offer
They had a whole box full of cards when we went 2 weeks ago. Didnt catch how much they cost, tho.
As long as its not too terribly scratched, they'll buy just about anything
Yes, Planet Fun is open, though they have shorter business hours for now. They also prefer customers to wear a mask if possible.
They most likely would be, it seems like something they would be into. The best way to check if they would be interested is by bringing it in to see if they would buy it.
Not too sure about that they might, I've seen a few display cases for action figures but its manly comics old video games and consoles
Yes they have a bunch of Pop Funko and anime figurines
Call them! They have constant rotation of stock
You will have to call and ask. I know that they sell them but I can't guarantee that they buy them.
The prices depend on the demand on the item
Yea I saw it last time I was there, it's a very popular game so expect it to be pricy
Nope I don't
Usually they do
The stock varies depending on what they get in. You can always call and ask.
I don't think so, but I think their inventory changes once in a while! They mostly sell collectables.
Nah, most stuff is vintage
Their inventory rotates constantly. You will have to call and ask.
Yea they were testing a bunch of super nintendo stuff out that someone was selling. Also toys and such if they gave any nostalgic value.
Sadly I don't think we have any right now, sorry!
They have a little of everything. Their inventory is pretty fluid.
Yup! Just to warn you though: we sell most Beanie Babies for $3.50, so individually they don't add up to much. Usually when people bring them in they're in incredibly massive bulk lots though, so they still add up that way.
They do.
