If your purse is bigger than a 4 by 6 and doesn't fit into their little box it has to be clear or you cannot take it in. Both of the ladies that were with us yesterday had to turn around and walk back to their car and put their small hobo purse back in their car.
I did see people with diaper bags that were not clear and strollers, wagons...

THE LACK OF NO FREE PUBLIC COLD WATER FOUNTAINS AT THE STATE FAIR GROUNDS.VOILATES PEOPLES RIGHTS AS TAX-PAYERS...AS WELL AS SUPPORTING FEDERAL HEALTH LAWS,THAT REQUIRE ALL STATE PARKS AND RECREATION

Federal health laws do NOT require anyone to install water fountains. Also the Fair is it's own entity and does not fall under park's and recs.

$20 for adults. Bit circle K gives them for $15. The ride bracelets are $38, or for tickets it's $1.25 per ticket, $25 for 20 tickets. The state fair is fabulous but just know you will spend money. Period because everything is very highly priced for the event.
In all the 30 years I have attended the fair I have only seen people who are visually impaired with their seeing eye 🐕 dog. Please call to learn regulations.
Have Fun!
Go to the State Fair webpage. On the menu tab it will say SC state Fair click on that and then it will say vendors. Click on that tab it should have all the information you are looking for.

Who was the band performing at the fair on Saturday?
Daqueeta Berry | Oct 9, 2019
Tiarra Sullivan | Oct 9, 2019
There were several different bands on two different stages. Check out the schedule here https://www.scstatefair.org/calendar/event-page/2018/10/20/entertainment/10-20-daily-entertainment-schedule
Please don't take this as gospel truth. But I'm pretty sure the armband and the ticket are just for that day unless it's otherwise stated on the ticket. But again please I'm not sure
Admission ticket is all by itself. Ride tickets or armband can be used for multiple rides, but once your tickets are gone you can't ride anymore unless you buy more tickets. And if you get the armband, it's only good for the day that you're there.
I want to know why I have been stuck in traffic 3 hrs for 4 miles. I understand it is a game going on but what about the families just trying to get there kids to the state fair. No one is directing traffic or anything. This is not a good look.
D Brice | Oct 9, 2019

Actuall they are directing traffic. Its at South Assembly and Rosewood about 10 or more State Troopers are there and more County Police in front of the Fair also directing traffic.

Can I purchase tickets at the fair itself or do I need to get tickets somewhere else beforehand? Also do I need cash or am I able to pay with a debit card?
Iceman 99 | Oct 9, 2019
Lindsay Nickalo | Oct 9, 2019
You can get discounted tickets beforehand or pay at the gate. They take cash and card.
I would recommend bringing plenty of cash because some food vendors and sales vendors only take cash.
