I wish more people would help these kids. The shelter is great and run by amazing people. We fostered two girls that were here.

I was a foster kid there july 2020 I was scared at first but I started to love it there I didn't want to leave I wanted to stay there, and the staff is amazing there they were all cool and chill and easy to get along with. I know this place truly cares for kids like me.

The children in our care come to us through the Department of Children & Family Services and most are in the foster care system. Some children are with us because of a court order due to family issues that aren't allowing the child to be cared for as needed at home.

If we had more resources, we would partner with other organizations in the community to prevent child abuse and provide programs to children who are victims of abuse and neglect but not current residents of the Shelter.
