I've been attending Shem Creek Presbyterian for a little over two years and have been a member for a year now. I was attending a mega church and as much as I loved my friends and the music there, I was always feeling that the message was hollow. I connected with one of the pastors and started working my way into the church. It was one of those moments where I just got it, and felt the click. It didn't feel like the usual shuffle of meet the greeter, walk into the concert, listen to a short bullet-point sermon, and walk out without meeting anybody out of the huge crowd, It was like stepping into a group of people that actually wanted to get to know you and share their faith. As a small church, it is very intimate. Every member is involved in something not because we feel the obligation to, but because we love our church and and want to spend time together. We want to share the message with Mount P. and the rest of Charleston and we have members from West Ashley, Goose Creek, the Colleges downtown, and from all over the Charleston area. If you want biblical preaching with a close-knit but community, please come by, you are more than welcome to come worship with us.
