I was debating on writing a review because it’s been about a week and a half now, but long review made short; first impression was nice. For a Kansas hill it has a couple nice little slopes for novice/intermediate. Run inside by a lot of teens but none were rude, all appropriate and down to earth. However, my second slope, I was getting off the lift and my foot got caught of my snowboard and I fell getting off the lift. I felt immediate sharp pain in my leg and foot; and yelled at the ground for a good minute. The girl running the lift didn’t stop the lift so people just kept going around me and nobody asked if I was doing okay. I got up, limping and walking with no workers in sight to ask for help. Then I proceeded to have to walk down the entire slope by myself limping which took me almost 30 minutes. When I got inside, I took my boot off and my foot was swollen terribly. The only thing a worker said was that it looked gnarly: after driving home and to the ER, one X-ray and a surgery later, I now have 9 screws and a plate in my ankle for a fractured fibula and 2 torn ligaments. So, if you’re worried about safety and the medics or somebody helping you if you’re injured? I wouldn’t trust any of them.

Had an awesome time at Snow Creek! I have wanted to go snowboarding for a while but never could really afford it. As of this review it was only $118 for me to get a 2 hour lesson, lift ticket and rental gear. There were kids as young as 3 years old out there leaving so the age range of every body there is wide. There also was a fun little event where you could ski down the advanced slope and then try to cross a small pond of water without falling in.

Had a lot of fun at this small ski resort after we finally got to ski. I recommend buying tickets online a couple days ahead because they're cheaper and that line moves fast. The line that doesn't move fast, is the equipment rental line. Spent about an hour going through this line. There has got to be a way to speed this up. The slowest part was going through the ski sizing.

Staff is very helpful. Tubing is kind of spinning while sliding down the hill. Don't recommend going by yourself.

Call them for conditions.
Yes! They do a great job on their fb of getting the info out.
All three are accepted! The best idea is to buy your pass online.
No, the tubing area can't be seen from the warming house.
Yes, but you can't eat inside. I believe the website says you have to eat at the tables outside.
Yep
No there will not be snow. At least not there. They usually open around the middle or end of December weather permitting.
Bring your own
I was just there about an hour ago, the lady said Sunday, the 11th would be the very last day they would be open fire the season. They will open back up around December.
Nope, they will be done for the season
Definitely!
Yes. When they open. Should open on or after December 15th. Rental equipment available.
Tried coming the window at snow creek? Their staff is great locally, even though the phone people are not often. The phone call center is somewhere else and tends to focus on the bigger CO resorts.
On Fridays they're open from 4p to 10p
It will be the same as your shoe size, maybe half size larger. But yes you will be able to try them on and swap out if needed.
I bought a 1-day pass for $55.97 after taxes online today for about two weeks out. Not sure about rentals though!
Can you let me know when they open? Thanks
They have not opened for the season yet
Snow Creek has not opened to the public yet. Tubing passes are purchased for a specific date. If this a gift, you can purchase a gift card. If not, once the resort has an opening date and their website goes live, you can purchase then.
We went the end of February and it was 61 degrees, but there was at least 7 foot of snow
Yes, purchase online.
You can. Best to book online. If you can book online, you're good. Otherwise, they might be full. Calling them when they're busy isn't a great way to go.
The web site has all pricing information, you will need to pre-purchase your tickets vs. Day of
In all honesty I dont know I just work there but I do believe that you have to pay in advance. That might just be for tubes but it couldnt hurt to just google it
around $44 for equipment rentals (ski+helmet), not including one day ticket. You can check more information here https://www.skisnowcreek.com/plan-your-trip/more-options/equipment-rentals.aspx
No you don't.
No...
Yes, it is currently open. But closed for today due to power outages
They are not but will be soon. They are posting updates on opening day on there website https://www.skisnowcreek.com/explore-the-resort/about-the-resort/guest-services.aspx
They have tubing and tubing lanes but no sleds. Best time to go tubing is when it is below 30 degrees and the lanes freeze its a good time especially with a group of people. Hope this helps.
I was told somewhere in the month of may
Website is updated daily and will have all the info you need.
Yes. Its actually already open for the 2019-20 season.
No most likely not. There are hotels outside of Smithsville or by the airport. Off highway 29 when you get off exit, it's about 10 min from there.
No, Snowcreek should open mid-December 2019. It looks like they aim to be open December 15th but need about 2 weeks of continuously below freezing temps to be ready
I would call and watch the weather.👍
No, but that would cool.
I would check the web site...👍
When it's cold enough to make snow. Look at the website around November for an exact date
Yes they do have wide boards for larger boot sizes and heavier riders. I would recommend doing some research and finding out what size board you need according to your weight range and not based on your height like most rental shops do.
Snow Creek will be clsed from Monday, Mar 11-Friday, March 15. They will re-open for the weekend of the 16 & 17 with shorter hours. The Tube park hours will be 10-5.
I believe so at this time but double check with the ski resort itself
Depends on the weather. Open until the snow melts.
Most likely,. Season usually winds down mid March.
I don't. It makes it miserable and much colder. However, the resort may stay open if it's not too heavy and there are still people there giving them business.
Usually closes mid March
Not generally, it is dependent on other factors as well; such as the amount of snow, heaviness of rain, and amount of patrons still present
Usually closes mid March. Depends on weather conditions. Check website
Snow Creek typically closes the second weekend of March. There is a chance they may get one more weekend in this year because f all tje snow we've had and still anticipate having for a few more days! They recommend checking the snow report
It can run anywhere between $29 and $70 depending on when you are going and if you rent gear or have your own. For a full breakdown of price, you can see their website at: https://www.skisnowcreek.com/rates/
Check their website or call them to find out
You can wear just regular clothes
Yes
Check their website or call the number
I didnt get to tube that day..I believe they are only running on the weekend.
It will depend on how comfortable you are on your skis or snowboard. When it is warm like this the snow will be very wet as it melts. If you are confident it can be plenty warm in just a sweatshirt or maybe even a tshirt. If you fall, however, you can get soaked through really easily unless you have a good coat and gloves. Once you are wet it's really hard to warm up!
The website is updated all day long. Times are legit
You'll have to ask Mother Nature that one. LOL
Tubes are included with tubing rates and on a first come, first serve basis. On Sunday a 2 hour session is $28. A 4 hour session is $45. Sunday between 10 am and 8 pm
Website has current prices. Check it out to see if they have specials on certain days.
Unfortunately, only service dogs are allowed
No
Yes, they have their dates and times posted on their website.
If you mean the tubing I know that from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. was full and as far as a gift card I don't see why that would have any bearing on it considering that's considered cash?
No. Skis, snowboards, poles, boots come as part of your rental fee. Helmets are an additional fee.
I would call them but they are usually open
Today is opening day, the rates/price are on the website: top of the screen, 3 lines > plan & buy > rates and passes
No but soon, maybe next week or so
You will have to watch thier fb page or website. Waiting for warmup to pass.
No, there is not.
As of the 22nd we are open for the 2018-19 season!
Our tentative opening date is Dec 14th.
No. Not until mid December.
Snow Creek doesn't offer on-site lodging.
Yes, closed for season
Recently no. The lift is only way to gain access
No, they closed Sunday March, 11th. They'll open up in December
Today is the definite last time they are open until December. Sorry :/
They try to stay open until March 4th but it is weather permitting. Best to call and ask.
Thank you all for the info....
That try to stay open until March 4. It's weather permitting though.
Maybe bring a Baby Björn🤔
Go to the ticket window, buy your lift tickets, let them know you need rentals if you need them, get fitted up, and go ski. Pretty easy
A day session is $44 Mon - Sun from open to 9pm and $75 with rental. For Juniors (5-12) it's $29 or $60 with rental and children 4 and under $10 and $41 for rental
$28 per person for 2 hours.
$28 per person Fri-Sun, $20 Thur.
