Things are starting to look up. A patient advocate in Columbia helped me change a Doctor and addressed the problems. I now have a wonderful group of doctors and a directory of extensions to get through to someone when needed. Thank you. Previous review from a year ago. The system is broken. They are closed to vets to keep them safe at the same time sending vets to higher risk places to get what care they can, Sad. There are some real good people working there but you may never get to see them for real. Off to Wal-Mart to get over the counter meds since no one else will help.

Worst va medical care facility in American doctors and staffing really rude non caring had to enroll elsewhere

Calling as a healthcare professional and waited for a hour and a half to talk with someone to be disconnected. Called back and 2 hours into the hold and the call is disconnected. You should contact Greenville or Ashville VA and get them to train your Spartanburg staff. I have never been on hold for over 30 min at either of those locations. Also, I feel very sorry for our veterans if this is the service they receive.

This place needs a massive overhaul. First I will start with that older female security guard they have. Its clear she is in dire need of IPC skills training and more if she continues to wear a badge. Her blantent rudeness and lack of IPC skills puts her in a bad situation for herself and the safety of the facility as well as the veterans that go there for health care. That is just one observation from one person who wore a badge to another. Also the fact that she FORCES you to wear the least protective mask (insted of my N95) or she gets to threaten your ability to receive healthcare. Yet she is as far from a healthcare provider as it comes and that should NEVER be her decision without knolwedge of patients needs. The blood lab crew has always been kind, quick, and compassionate. So A+ there. As far as my doctor goes (I won't drag her name out on Google reviews for moral reasons) she was extremely quick at making me feel like just another name on the appointment board. Extreme lack of attention and care to what needs I had let alone just wanted to talk about. The entire appointment I felt like she had somewhere so much more important to be that did not include working. She was quick to blow off what I was able to get out within what felt like 5 minutes she gave me before moving on to the next. All this after having so many bad experiences at my previous VA clinic in FL. Yet we wonder why veterans have a high suicide and abuse rate........ This specific VA needs to be reported, inspected, and changed. That is if they actually care about us veterans.......

I went in and seen if i was eligible. I had to fill out a few forms and when they approved me they set me up with a pcp
As long as the prescription goes thru VA first
