Saw the signs for the memorial from 95, on my way home to NC from Orlando. I’m a history lover and jumped at the opportunity to get off the highway and see it. The signs aren’t clear about how far it is from the highway but it took us like 15 mins to get to it. It’s not ideal if you were hoping to easily get on and off the highway. The monument was also detroyed when we arrived. Very disappointing, there were no news articles or anything that could’ve informed us that it had been destroyed. We would’ve saved the 45 mins we lost visiting the site.

I was there on September 15th 2022, does anyone know what happened to it?

Leaning a bit of history today. Hopefully the destruction of this important monument was not intentional and can be restored.

Nice surprise during a road trip. It's well-maintained and not far from the exit off I 95.
