You can pay vehicle taxes at the county treasurer's office. The DMV should send out your decal after those are paid. If your tag sticker/decal expires before you receive the new one, you can show the receipt for paying your vehicle taxes if you're pulled over for it.

When my license expired and I had to retake it to renew mine it was a basic skills test. Backing straight, 3 point turns, yielding and slowing down for lane merging, using signals when turning and shifting lanes, coming to complete stops at stop signs, looking both ways, adjusting your mirrors, looking at your blind spot when changing lanes etc. It's things you'll need to know to drive safely basically. If you have your doubts then read through your manual and practice everything you have doubts about. Good luck!

First if you are going to get a tag for the car you have to go to the treasure office and pay the property taxes. Then go to the dmv and they will give you a form to fill out if you want to get the title.
