The office staff are very polite, but the people that live around me aren't so.... Moved in September 2013. I have repeatedly requested Monroe Police and Monroe Housing Authority to please do something about the drug use and selling, so far no much has been done. Have requested them to help with people driving through after quite hours with loud bass music and the parking situation. In my lease there are standards of living but it is not enforced. My floors need some repairing and some other repairs could be done. Paint coming off the walls in places. A woman told me this morning she didn't want the police down there. She said, "I know your the only white woman here that calls the police". I told her I didn't know what she was talking about. Something about a white van and music. Her tone of voice was displeasing at the most. She was still yelling as I drove away to go to work. I thought this was a place to help people get on there feet, but some are using it to have more babies out of wedlock to stay on government benefits and hide illegal dealings from the police. Even with surveillance cameras things are still happening. It's very disappointing to be told how wonderful a place is and just let us know if you have any problems, but nothing much changes when I've asked for help. Like the woman this morning, she has something against white people, why would the government support racism and drugs, and encourage women to have more babies they can't afford? The men who do the repairs to our home are always respectful, as the staff in the office are.
