We decided to buy a membership online because they had a discounted price for them. A few hours later we drove to the store and picked up our cards and went shopping, we were not impressed with the store. The store was dark, it seemed the isles were a little narrow, and I just did not have a welcoming feel. I also checked several prices while walking around and with the exception of one item the rest of the items were up to several dollars cheaper at the other members club I am already a member of down the street. I saw no benefit to joining here so I got a refund on my membership.

I shop here regularly, there are several regular items I buy, honeycrisp apple juice, applegate ham, sour cream, chips...then there are the things i buy irregularly 5 lbs of Himalayan sea salt, 12 lbs of king Arthur flour, spice refills, caress bar soap. It's such a great deal for the money i spend.

Yes you can save as a member at the pump using your membership card and they have a promotion to save more per gallon, 25 cents I think it is, if you go inside and shop first for specially marked products. There is a flyer at customer service that will show you which products quality for the additional savings.

Yes there is an optical department in the front end of the store. The hours do vary and are completely different from the club hours. I believe monday is 10-8, which is the day of the week they are open the latest. Then the rest of the weekdays, Tuesday through Friday, hours are 10-7. Saturday they close earlier at 6. These hours are subject to change however and it would be a good idea to call ahead and make sure someone will be there to help you. I have used their optical services before and found them to be above average in quality compared to even my doctor's office. Their ability to do difficult compound prescriptions is also far above average. The savings on lenses and frames are also significantly cheaper than all others in our area.
Yes you can order online and have delivery to your home as long as you have a BJ's member account. They just don't deliver fresh food, for that you'll have to visit the store. Make sure you frequently check out the new section where you can download digital coupons right to your member account. You'll never forget to redeem a coupon again, it's great!
