GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES IS THE WORST IN THIS ENTIRE COUNTRY. YOU SPEND HOURS CALLING AND NOBODY ANSWERS THE CALL WHEN YOU NEED TO GET IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND I HEAR IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THAT. ALSO, THE VOICE RESPONSE SYSTEM DOEN'T PROVIDE ANY MEANINGFUL INFORMATION. THIS IS DISSAPOINTING, YOU GUYS SHOULD DO BETTER.

What they cover is nice. But, if the office you are going to doesn't take Medicaid, you will not be allowed to pay out of pocket. For some strange reason it is considered insurance fraud to do so. Georgia Medicaid, if my only options are an urgent care that doesn't take Medicaid or the emergency room, wouldn't you rather that I pay out of pocket? It just doesn't make sense.

I’ve been calling for months & this is the WORST department in history. My insurance was supposed to automatically switch over from a child care plan to an adult plan once I turned 20 & it hasn’t. Im not able to go see an OBGYN because they don’t take child care plans. How am I supposed to keep up with my health as a woman if I can’t even speak to someone to switch my plan over??!!!!!

If you type in psychologists that take Medicaid , you’ll just have to call everyone until you find one .

yes just got off the phone, with medicare once you have medicare you can apply for medicaid, that was my understanding
