I was thinking this morning about how it has been a year since my husband had surgery at Vanderbilt. I can’t say enough how thankful I am for Dr. Schwartz and everyone else involved. We were referred to Dr. Schwartz by another doctor in Paducah after my husband injured his arm. We were so anxious during this time because there were unknowns about the issue and it was scary, but Dr. Schwartz and the group at Vanderbilt explained everything and really did make me feel more at ease. He was kind and helpful before, during, and after the surgery. A year later, my husband has full motion in his arm, he has been able to work in the yard and start a garden, and we have been able continue on with our lives after all this stress. I truly have Dr. Schwartz and his team to thank for his quality of life now and for making that stressful time as good as it could be. All the employees we came into contact with in the orthopedics office were always friendly and helpful as well.

Excellent physicians however Issues with lack of communication from the scheduler added ridiculous setbacks and frustration. Messages, never returned even had hospital staff following up with the scheduler to no avail.

The surgery itself went well. The post op aftercare is horrible. Calls aren't returned. Doctor's don't show up for appointments. Basically after the actual surgery you are on your own. Won't go back for my second surgery.

I had leg surgery so I'm not much help other than to say Vanderbilt to me has the best of the best and you will receive care on that level start to finish and they will see you through until you are completely healed and pain free

I had a knee replacement a year and a half ago. Was hospitalized 2 times after for problems. Have had nerve blocks and still in terrible pain. They say my knee cap is tilted. I jus know I can't live like this. Who can I see to fix it.
