Terrible service to long time patients of St. Thomas. The “manager” Chris P. The rest of of his last name was not divulged due to his poor ethics and handling of situations I regards to individuals healthcare. Do not take your loved ones to this satellite facility and honestly and St. Thomas facilities, your health isn’t their primary goal. After a failure to communicate for many days over Covid results and requests to extend care due to general illness of my 9 year old daughter, a very pompous office manager decided how care would be received at his discretion. Dealt with numerous employees of Ascension St. Thomas in trying to relay concerns over issues at this location which is nearly impossible. At any point if a glorified office manager has the ability to deny care or create issues out of his pay grade please consider what is really important to this “healthcare” facility.

Poor management, I got blood work done three weeks ago and still have not received my results. Every time I call, I’m put on hold for 15 mins to tell me they don’t have my results. This is ridiculous, I’m changing providers because this is unacceptable.

Going in, environment appears clean and well-ordered. You reach the front desk to check in - most of the receptionists have a brusque manner (especially the bilingual one in the premier radiology if you are also going in for imaging on the 1st floor) while they are checking you in. It may be a good idea to form a habit to ask what type of healthcare visit you have been scheduled for and how that may relate to whether you need to provide payment for a co-pay or not. There can be varying interventions/tests/other factors (i.e. Medicare) to take into account during your visit also that may influence what medical billing codes are linked into your visit and whether or not you need to pay a co-pay at the end of your visit. Took a relative to see Dr. Womack for the first time and Dr. Womack's demeanor as well as her nursing staff (Jessica?) seemed very polite and professional. They were both also bilingual which is a huge plus, which we are enormously grateful for as well. If you are only going for blood labs that have been ordered, you will hopefully encounter and meet one of the sweetest of people, Jacky, who is there to draw blood. From what I understand and per the 1st floor receptionist: If you need blood drawn from Monday - Thursday from 8a and on, you check in on the 2nd floor without having to schedule a formal appointment. If you need blood drawn on Friday from 8a and on, you can check in on the 1st floor without having to schedule a formal appointment.

The experience we had this morning was really bad. Just becas use someone does not talk English it was enough for them to treat him like a lier. My dad got there at appointment time (exactly) and the lady said he was late because he wasn’t with her at that time. When I mentioned he got there on time she said “don’t worry- we can check cámaras for that” Really? 😂 St Thomas (a professional place) telling patience that they will check cameras to see if they were or not late. GO AHEAD lady let’s go to court too 😂 End of the story... after 4 months of waiting for the appointment , he didn’t see the doctor .

Ascension | Oct 7, 2021

Respiratory Syncytial Virus, or RSV, may appear like a bad cold to adults. For infants or young children, RSV can cause bronchiolitis -- a virus which causes swelling and an increase in mucus in the airway. This can cause difficulty breathing through their nose and eventually dehydration due to difficulty latching to the breast or bottle for infants. Other symptoms of RSV may include a fever or a very wet sounding cough, which can turn into coughing fits. Those coughing fits can cause a child to gag and potentially vomit.
