Walton county police, prosecutor's,and court system is as crooked as they come! I was just a passenger in a vehicle that the police pulled over for traffic violation and they charged me with allowing the driver to operate vehicle unlawfully then when I pleaded not guilty the prosecutor added two more bogus charges. They sent a court date to wrong address so I would miss court and on that day I called and was told not to worry about it that they would reschedule, later they sent me a letter at the right address to appear and when I went to court they said they never sent me a letter and I wasn't scheduled to appear but was brought in front of Judge for a bench warrant! I told the judge what happened about them sending the notice to appear to wrong address and the judge said " You can exercise your right and plead not guilty but you asked to be in my court didn't you? I said Yes and he then said "I'm sending you to jail without bond" so I went to jail but the judge did decide to set a bond.I had to pay double the bond amount to get out.Present day- about one year later I go back to court over this and they make a plea deal trying to get me to plead guilty which I did because of the threat of two years jail time if I'm found guilty of just one of the three bogus charges, they give me 1year probation, high fines, and community service just for being a PASSENGER of someone else's car!!The driver actually got a better deal than me!

Beautiful historic Victorian roof. The Lil Lady inside let us check out the upstairs court room which was pretty damn awesome. Nice documents and beautiful staircase as well.
