Love everything they try to do to help animals. They work with rescue groups and we were lucky to have adopted two puppers from them.

I called and told them about 30+ abandoned cats and kittens. The people renting from my dad left abruptly and left all of the cats. I called Walton County animal control and told them about the issue. The lady on the phone said that my dad was going to have to catch the cats and bring them in. First off, isn't that the job of animal control? Second, my dad is a 60 year old man and is not capable of catching 30 cats. I understand covid made a lot of people lazy because a lot of people did not have to do their job. but it's time to get back to work and start doing your job again.

Unfortunately Honey, they make their own rules there. Other counties do not run their offices the same way. The Walton County Animal control make their rules up by case by case. So, let's say, your dogs are part of your family, they are sweet lovable, lick you all over and sleep with you at night but when they are in your backyard behind a gate and bark at strangers Walton County will have a problem with them and say your dogs are "FENCE AGGRESSIVE!" and not like them and want to put them to sleep. Which is sort of silly isn't it and very unfair because in order to protect you ON YOUR PROPERTY that is exactly how they should act. If they greeted strangers ON YOUR PROPERTY with their tails wagging they wouldn't do a good job at protecting you, your Mom or Dad.
Yes you can but more then likely at this time you will get a voicemail. So I would call the police in the city you live in
Might ne best to call them first. They may let u tour the pets if ur underage. Probably have to b 18 to adopt tho.
I don't think it matters as long as your teenage and up.they don't ask questions unless you start the adoption process.
Also check Walton County Lost and Found pets Facebook group, and the nextdoor app. Post pictures all over Facebook, if she isn't at the pound, there is a good chance she is hanging out in someone's garage trying to find you!
Contact pound puppies and kittens or Walton animal guild. If you take them to the shelter, they would more than likely be euthanized. The shelter is full
They're totally overworked with animals that people neglect constantly! I give him a big thumbs up taking care of a responsible human beings problems. A provide trap cages and will pick up. I try to drop off whenever I can so they don't have to come out text Mom.
Agricultural areas no.

Animal Control receives several complaints every week concerning barking dogs. The ordinance reads that that an owner cannot allow his dog to disturb the peace of any other person by loud, PERSISTENT, HABITUAL barking, howling, growling, yelping, or whining. Animal Control responds to these complaints by issuing a written warning to the owner at the time of the first complaint. If they receive another complaint within 90 days, they will issue a citation to the owner provided that at least two adult witnesses sign a written statement and agree to appear in Municipal Court to testify about the complaint. The key words in the ordinance is persistent and hibitual. If a dog barks for 10 minutes and stops for 30 minutes, it's likely it would not be considered presistent or habitual. Dogs bark. That's what they do when they see strangers, other dogs, etc.. Most dogs do not bark persistently for long periods of time which is required for the barking dog to be considered a peristent barker.
Try paradox farms. They do discount spay/neuter and free for pit bulls
