This Banfield has internal communication problems. I had a teeth cleaning scheduled today. Yesterday I called and asked if they could also remove a cyst from one of my dog’s legs since she would already be under anesthesia. I forwarded them the biopsy results from another vet. They confirmed that they could remove it today. The benefit was my dog would only have to get knocked out once and it would save me some money. Well it turns out they never coordinated with the doctor so they wanted me to reschedule for the cyst removal and then charge me again for anesthesia. I truly feel they saw this as a money making opportunity. What a disgrace. I am extremely disappointed with Banfield in the NY/NJ area. They are awful compared to Florida. This is my 2nd bad experience with Banfield in a row. You can read my other review on this page. Also, it takes 6-8 weeks to make an appointment. I drove all the way from Long Island to Paramus today for this appointment. What a waste of time. I can’t wait to get out of NY/NJ area with my awful experiences with Banfield being one of those reasons.

Management disrespects and bad mouths their own team in front of patients and other staff members. You can tell the staff are at their limit working at a place they are so obviously unappreciated. Corporate only cares about the money, they purposely overbook appointments and god forbid you have an issue good luck getting seen again within 3 months. The Paramus location is lucky to have Dr. O and Dr. Segal, as they actually care about the pets they see, but there is only so much they can do when Corporate treats them like slaves. The Regional Manager is a joke as well as the other higher-ups. The staff have no support from anyone except themselves. They dont seem to realize that without VA’s to help the Doctors they dont have a functional hospital. No wonder theyve had a 90% turn over of their assistants in the last 6months. Please dont bring your pets here, and please dont work here unless you hate yourself.

Had a reminding call from Banfield for my pet’s shots. Called them back and they set up an appointment for July 22nd. I took my time off that day for my pet’s 12 pm appointment, then once I arrived Ms. Mary at the front desk told me I don’t have an appointment, and then she told me if I wanted to book an appointment. I told her I’m here for that appointment and she’s telling me we can book you the next month. So ridiculous, don’t even waste your time with them.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
I think you'd better call them, instead. These questions you used are for the community, not the establishments.
