Just went to family court to fill out paperwork it was quick and not crowded

This is the WORST court period. The judges, lawyers all party together and are in each other’s back pockets. The facts don’t matter. What the child wants doesn’t matter. it’s not about the facts or children’s well-being. It’s about what lawyer you have that whispers into their ears better. It’s about who you know. Narcissists and their flying monkeys find lots of success here. Beware.

Terrible judges...long waits to see a judge on appointment

People we need to stop this anti American family court. They follow no laws and will tell you to your face your rights don’t matter, it’s a pack you go against cps county attorney the judge will do or give them unlimited time, they can miss return dates on motions. The child attorney will pretend she on your side but if after 4 court dates county don’t oppose your motion they sure will. They don’t act under best for child. And if you do what they ask and pass they still don’t give peoples kids back. We need to come together for our kids. I know a couple like to drink a little on weekends and I mean very little cps came smelled alcohol on there breath and removed kids. I don’t understand how no one has shot any of them. We have a right to raise our kids by law we have to provide minimum care. Kids have a right to be raised by bad parents most of them do amazing in life.

How can I get a restraining order against my neighbor to keep harm away from my kids ? We're can I start to get help ?
Who granted the right to claim the child?
Public defenders are excellent!! I got judge Cheng very fair and very understanding!!!
Good Luck this place is far from professional!!
Go to the Chief Clerk's office in Family Court room 134.
You have to go to family court and file a petition...
You need to consult with an attorney and shouldn't consider my answer as legal advice specific to you but rather as general information. In general, parents are legally obligated to support their children. That obligation only ceases if parental rights are terminated in a proceeding initiated by the County or the child is adopted. The other parent may agree not to seek support if you conceed sole custody to them, but that agreement is unenforceable as a matter of law as the obligation of support is owed to the child not the other parent.
🤣🤣🤣
Easiest possibility is Daddys permission. If completely out of Pic then easier but not 1,2,3.

You have to go to the clerks office fill out a transcript form. Then the reporter who was in the court room that day you was in court well call you. Hope this helps
Thank you George. Unfortunately I can’t afford for attorneys anymore. I go to court almost every year for the last 12 years and nothing is done. My ex- husband doesn’t follow stipulation of agreement and still have the courage to take me to court for anything. Very exhausting.
You can file an amended petition.
Paternity will be analyzed by several factors, most importantly the age if the child and the relationship between the supposed father and the child. A DNA test may be required by the Court. This is a fact specific question and you should contact an attorney.
No free service with the mediator. U have to pay but you will pay less money than you will pay a lawyer.
It used to be Skype for business. Now they have switched to Microsoft Teams. You now download MS Teams either on your smart phone or computer/laptop
You can go there. If he ordered to pay, you have options. You have to file a violation of a court order and you can file it urgently and be heard by Monday. They will set up a phone call. They basically brushed my case off but maybe you'll have better luck. Theyre not going to do it for you, you have to take the trip. They are also inundated with cases. Good luck!
No
How do I get a child support modified
You have to file a petition at the first floor window in the family court building requesting some sort of visitation with the children.
Family court clerks window will direct you.
Depends if you have an attorney call them and request they appear in court and request an adjournment. If you don't try and call the court clerk or look up the fax number of the judge and write a letter explaining your sick and request an adjournment. The judge's clerk will get that letter to the judge. Remember that it also depends what court you have a hearing in. Is it criminal, civil, traffic or family.
No. These programs generally require a high level of commitment, including personally appearing, to help impart on the participant an understanding the gravity of their actions and accepting responsibility for their behavior.
Unfortunately, no. In New York all divorces go through Supreme Court.
You see a lawyer
Contact the other side and see if they will consent. Then contact the court to see if it's OK with them . Let them know why
It most likely will be open then.
Suffolk transit, any info you need you can find it on their website @ sct-bus.org
Call scba. Or ken molloy in central islip. 415 4808.
Go to ny ecourts. Select county and court
If it is an order involving you, the Court Clerk can give you a copy.
You have to file in Supreme Court. Just see the clerk for the necessary paperwork.
Go to Family Court, 400 Carleton Avenue Central Islip, Room 134(Clerk's Office), and get necessary paperwork.
You'll have to take that up with the Judge/ Magistrate/ Referee hearing your case.
There is no limit on the number of petitions that can be filed. Any time there is a change in circumstances, you can be called again to respond.
