Stopped in today to get a chocolate cake for my step father's 70th birthday. They had one so I was in luck, so I thought. Understandable they were setting back up from being closed due to IAN, but wish they didn't sell a old cake or if this was a new cake then that's even worse. At almost $70 I expected this cake to be one of the best I've ever had. Well it wasn't, all I can say is good thing we had ice cream, this cake was so dry, even with the ice cream it was hard to eat. When I picked up the cake I commented that it was heavy, the lady behind the counter said and I quote 'that's how you know it's good. Well it wasn't good at all. Good thing dinner was good.

Oh. My. Goodness. If you are looking for a real cake with real homemade icing made with butter AND love, then Momma''s is it. Absolutely delicious!. I've been to several Melbourne bakery's and Momma's is the truth. She had several flavors to choose from and the cakes are super moist and flavorful. The shop is very clean and tidy. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
