We are elderly and were told that there were no first floor rooms so we were put on the second floor, wouldn’t have been a problem if there had been an elevator, which we were not aware of. So we struggled to get upstairs. Upon entering our room there was hair on the floor in the bathroom, the ceilings had a hole and cracks in them, we did not have a coffee pot available to us or any other so-called luxuries. We reached the home office and they called down to the front desk, they accommodated us with a room downstairs and upgraded it to I believe they called it the executive suite. We appreciated the effort. In our room there was a rather is a coffee pot, there were no coffees and only one cup in their basket. One of the sugar packet holders had already been opened and an old coffee pod was still in the coffee pot itself. Tried to make coffee and it did not work. Tried to use the safe and it did not work. We were given one shampoo and two bars of soap. There were only two towels for the two of us and we are staying three nights. My husband had to walk down to the office to get extra towels. It cost $477 for our stay, and that was supposedly for the standard room. The most important thing however is the bed was very comfortable and we appreciated that. The ladies at the front desk did their very best to try to make things better. The other positive thing is the location is very good. I would not stay here again however.

We spent 3 nights here after spending 3 nights at the Red Roof Inn in Myrtle Beach. The one in Myrtle Beach is a 5 star resort compared to this one. Our room in Myrtle Beach was almost double the size of the one in Mt. Pleasant, and it was almost half the price (we were in Mt. Pleasant during the week not on a weekend). When we checked in, the young man at the front desk was surly at best, it appeared that he didn't want to be there. There were tree trimming contractors staying there (they cut trees for the power companies) and they started their big bucket trucks up every morning at dawn. So even if you wanted to sleep past dawn you couldn't. The Red Roof Inn in Myrtle Beach was 4 stories with inside access to the rooms, a spacious lobby, nice pool area and nice grounds. Contrast that to this Red Roof Inn which is more typical of one that you would see off the interstate where you're just looking for a place to sleep for the night. But it's in an upscale area, so I don't know why it's not a better hotel. It needs updating, and the grounds aren't the cleanest. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because of it's location and because of the front desk clerk Becky, who is personable and helpful. I would go back to Mt. Pleasant in a heartbeat but would look for somewhere else to stay.

The room smelled so bad like mold..the air conditioner made it worse. The furniture was sticky like with dirt. The bathroom was clean. There were 2 roaches 0h..so gross....couldn't lay under covers....not sure who's dna would be on the sheets. The girl who checked us in was the best experience. She belongs in a 4 star hotel....but the stay was awful..and no soap. Shampoo....nothing but stinky room and noisy inebriated people partying. Awful

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE check-in experience. We arrived late at night from driving many hours from Miami, FL. I notified the hotel earlier that day that we'd be arriving in the middle of the night. When we got there, the elderly lady was asleep in a chair and seemed to be startled when we knocked on the door. She told us we can't check in at that time because "that's just not how it works". We persisted and told her that we had a confirmed reservation and even notified the hotel we'd be coming in late. It was 5AM at this point and after 12 hours of being on the road, this was very frustrating. She kept shaking her head and told us "You're just lucky I hadn't done my audit earlier or else I would've canceled this booking because this doesn't work like this. You can't check-in in the middle of the night around here." She seemed nauseated and had to stop in the middle of sentences while explaining to us where to find our room. I've NEVER been told that I can't check-in in the middle of the night when travelling. She did not want to give me a copy of my receipt and told me I needed to get it at check-out even though the payment went through right away. The room had a musky odor and the paint in the bathtub was peeling a little, but the room was overall acceptable. Considering the cleanliness of the facility and the condition of the room, I personally feel like I overpaid. There was also not a single parking space available either. We were forced to park along the curb at an area that was wide enough that cars could still pass through. With the addition of horrible customer experience, I do not see myself returning to this location. 5AM is not the time to be telling customers that their reservations should have been canceled.

This is the worst Red Roof in the State of South Carolina they rooms are nasty and they don't sanitize they're rooms for covid I went to 5 different rooms and all was nasty and the General Manager refused to give refund

Not really? I mean no reserved areas that I knew of. Like when we were there, we had to park on the other side of the parking lot from our room because a bigger truck with a trailer and a semi were parked in regular spots and it took up almost a whole row of spots. If they do offer semi truck/bus parking, it wasn't enough, and caused an overflow into regular car parking spots.
