I'd give it five stars if there was better parking - but other than that, it is a cool beach with a Lighthouse. The Lighthouse looks to be private, but you can walk in front of it. Beautiful place to watch a sunset.

This is a beautiful place just north of Frankfort on M-22. To access the lighthouse and attached museum there is a small charge (this goes for upkeep) well worth it. You can go up in the tower as well. The grounds are very nice and the sunset here is breathtaking. The access to the lighthouse is only during the warmer months you can visit the beach right next to it whenever. If you are going for sunset in the summer get there early and bring some drinks!

Started coming to the Frankfort/ Beulah area of northwest Michigan in 1970. Have been coming ever since and bringing my family for many years now. Always have to stop at Point Betsie, it is a ritual. If you come in summer, do the lighthouse tour and hunt for Petoskey stones on the beach!
