Horrible retirement system. Poorly run, takes over 5 months after you retire or resign to get access to your retirement funds. Dealing with them is like pulling teeth.

I will be eligible to retire in 2024. I don't turn 62 until September 11 and at that time I will have 25 years. If I retire at the end of the school will that affect my monthly payment?

Yes. If you quit your job before your 62nd birthday, you will retire early, thus a reducing factor gets applied to your lifetime monthly benefit, AND you will miss up to $100 a month tax free Premium Assistance payments towards your health insurance.

No. PSERS is the Public School Employees' Retirement System

All the information on Medicare Advantage Plans is confusing. Since Medicare is part of the PSERS package (at least I think it is) should we be looking for a plan to get coverage free glasses, hearing aids, etc. If we're not eligible, why not?

That is a question for the Healthcare Options Program. The phone number should be on the website.

On the retirement application it asks for bank phone number and address. Is that the local branch where I want to have direct deposit, or is that the corporate number and address?

I am a retired PA. teacher (1999) and usually always receive my monthly pension check by mail at the end of the month. As of today March 6th I still have not received my check. Who do I call and how do I get this resolved.

The Retirement Code, the law which governs PSERS, does not allow for loans to be available from retirement accounts with PSERS.

Yes they have been sent out. If your address is invalidated in our system it will not be sent. I would call in to our office to verify that your address is updated. I hope this helps.
