My wife and I recently purchased a 2023 Kia Sportage Ex Premium hybrid. Our overall experience with Renn Kirby was very good. Our salesman, Grant was friendly and knowledgeable. He kept us informed while we were waiting for our vehicle to be delivered and spent as much time as we needed explaining the tech and other features of the car when we picked it up. We also met with Pat, the finance manager, who did a good job explaining the various forms and documents that we needed to sign as well as when we could expect to receive our title and registration. Pat also presented us with our options for purchasing various extended warranties and did not pressure us when we declined. His no pressure approach was refreshing and and welcome and not one that I have experienced with car purchases at other dealerships. I have a couple of minor criticisms relate to included ‘optional equipment’ that we were required to purchase. First the sticker include $360 for roof rack cross bars. I have no use for them and they were boxed in the rear cargo area and not installed. Grant said we could have them installed but that they were unsightly and would detract from the appearance of the vehicle. I would have liked to have the option to not purchase them and think that the dealer could have removed them from the invoice them and sold them out of their parts department to another customer who had a use for them. The other ‘option’ was $60 wheel locks. I found them in the spare tire wheel well when I got home with my vehicle. These should have been installed during the vehicle preparation process. I was told that I could bring the car back and have them installed but I live 80 miles away and it’s just not worth the trouble. Finally, we were charges an additional $34 for a license plate. This was over and above the $195 charge for license and registration itemized on the invoice. Tags should be included in the license and registration line item and if not, disclosed as an additional charge.

Excellent experience. Grant was our salesman and Joe was the finance person. Everybody was polite and professional, price was by far the best we received.
