A wonderful Park with inspiring fresh air views of Long Island Sound. It was dedicated to the public by the Christian philanthropist, John James Cook.

Great beach. Well kept. Even has a playground. Can get to it by Toby D's or from the boardwalk. My daughter likes to swim out to the dock, which has a ladder to jump off. Although it doesn't have a life guard or one, I have seen when we went. Great music entertainment in the summer. Have camps at times. My daughter and I prefer this beach to all the other ones. Can Walk around has a walkway, and you can access the boardwalk for a longer walk or run. It has areas to sit within the park area. It can be tranquil looking out at the water. Something about water being soothing. All around great place.

Yes, I believe
Yes, from the point, between the McCook and Hole in the Wall beaches.
No, but the beach area has a fee even if you walk in.
Went onliine and unless they have changed local laws since some time in 2018 no dogs are allowed. Check with local enforcement first.
1,000 yards but it is close to 100 yards wide its a great little beach and parking is free after labor day
Only weekend fees until kids are out of school which is now , the gatekeepers will be there everyday now so fees apply unless you have a sticker 😎✌ Have a great summer !!
In season april 1 through labor day. Non resident parking season pass is $100, walk in is $50. Daily weekend passes are really expensive. There is a very low senior fee but I don't know if it applies to non residents. Off season there is no fee
