This is one of the few walk in passport offices in the Long Island - Queens area. Both times that I went there the wait was less then 15 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They actually try to help you get through the grueling process of getting a new passport. Two things to note: 1. As of a few days ago the onsite camera was broken. You need to take passport pictures elsewhere abd and bring the pictures. 2. They do not process DS - 82 forms. Meaning if you are eligible to renew your passport via the mail you cannot try to renew it in person at the passport office.

The book itself is $130 and an extra $60 if you need to expedite it.
You need to take a Good Picture of yourself
They have times for walk ins and times for appointments. In regards to documentation, the regulations are complicated and vary depending on a few different factors. Check the us passport website, and if you look carefully, you will find exactly what documents you need.
