I usually love hiking, but today was the first time I'd honestly say I'll never go back to these particular trails for a long time. I'd rather go get lost in fog on top of 5700 foot Mt. Adams again. What an underwhelming set of trails! There are technically two trailhead parking areas on this road, but I'd only consider one of them (the northern one) even remotely decent. I ended up walking the road back because of the cluster f of mis and improperly unmarked trails. The bugs were horrendous too, but that's to be expected living in Maine so that I can forgive.

Beautiful! Bring bug spray though

It's unfortunate the trails were not kept up better, either with paint markers, landmarks, etc., as well as names of the trails, other than just "Trail" in some areas.

Definitely a trail system in it's infancy. Has wide open gravel road with interconnecting technical trails. Provides fun for various skill levels. Some maintenance work needed at spots, and overall the trails just need more time to develop. Also, wear long pants, the high grass is everywhere with plenty of bugs! Worth a visit!
