Madison Animal Hospital does not have any flexibility when it comes to emergencies. We have been working with them trying to establish our elderly dog as a patient and that was challenging enough. We have reached a sad milestone with him where his health took a rapid decline over the course of about 15 minutes. We called at 4:30 asking if they would be willing to see him and at least assess whether it was time to euthanize or if there was something temporary they could do to ease his symptoms for a few days until we could get a real appointment for him. They flat out refused to even see him and even worse, when we asked for our deposit back in cash so we could seek care elsewhere tonight they also refused that request. They would not bend their policy in this emergency situation to help out an animal in need. I know how to run a business and in my opinion these folks certainly don't. They are too caught up in rules and policy to understand compassion and kindness. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The team at Madison Animal Hospital is wonderful. For the past 6 years they’ve taken great care of our dog. They’re skilled, helpful and attentive, and take time to answer questions and concerns. I highly recommend them.

They wouldn't see my sick dog with a infected tooth until the 14th of March ( I suspect because not a regular patient ) didn't want my dog to suffer that long called skowhegan animal hospital and they took in the very next day so not a very good rating for me and I should have known this is the second time that this has happened. they're not the only veterinarian clinic that doesn't take animals that are not their regular patients and I strongly believe it's all down to the mighty Dollar instead of the animal well-being with most animal clinics

absolutely amazing I called with a miner emergency on a Friday afternoon and they said to bring my dog down (105lb Sheppard who got her tongue caught in a soup can and can was stuck in her jaw) I was only there 30 minutes. Every single employee was great. We are in the process of relocating to the area and its great to know we have already found our Vet

The first visits are cheap and fixing is cheap as well here. Ive been bringing my animals for years with the best care. They are so nice . and if you want to chip your animal its very easy they helped me with that when I had a liter of pups. I highly recommend.
I had to update this. I've learned you take a pill and put it inside a slim Jim, you do this and will have no problems getting your pup to take a med. Good luck all hope your furbabies stay/get healthy.
My dogs (3) really like Darren and he is so good with them. I know this doesn't help but I have been to othet vet's he's the only one I trust with them.
My cat is having seizure like activity. I saw the st a rt and finish of one late last night. That explains the behavioral change over him the last few weeks. I don't know how to proceed with this. He's afraid of the cat carrier. I'm afraid if I bring him in I'll not be bringing him home. Please advise. I live around the corner on Main St. Thank you. Diane
