Dr Foster is extremely talented - he truly knows his stuff. He presents all possible treatments that are available and the various outcomes real patients have experienced. He has the best bedside manner and is incredibly caring. He called me for several days after my procedure to see how I was, even on a Sunday. There aren't many physicians like him. If you are looking for quality, knowledge and sincerity - he's the doctor you want.

Questions & Answers

Can you help my daughter with acne scar s to the face?

tiger xx47 the king | Oct 8, 2018
Dr. Stanley Foster | Oct 8, 2019

Scars from acne can seem like double punishment — first you had to deal with the pimples, now you have marks as a reminder. Acne lesions (pimples) happen when the hair follicles (or "pores") on the skin become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. A plugged follicle is the perfect place for bacteria to grow and create the red bumps and pus-filled red bumps known as pimples. (Acne comes in different forms:) (mild acne:) this causes the whiteheads or blackheads that most of us get at some point (moderate acne:) this can cause red, inflamed pimples (called papules) and red pimples with white centers (called pustules) severe acne: this causes painful, pus-filled cysts or lumps (called nodules) under the skin The best approach is to get treatment for acne soon after it appears to prevent further severe acne and more scarring. Since not every answer can be decided over the internet I would suggest that you setup an appointment at our office to see exactly how we can help your daughter .

I apologize for sounding stupid but how does Smartlipo work?

Candice | Oct 8, 2019
Dr. Stanley Foster | Oct 8, 2019

Hi Candice, First off no question is dumb question, let me try to help you. SmartLipo works partly like other lipo procedures. A small incision is made in the area to be treated and the pen-sized laser instrument is inserted. The laser is the “smart” in SmartLipo. Laser energy preferentially heats up fat, causing fat cells to burst. Once burst, the fat is more easily suctioned out, leading to more fat being removed with fewer effects on other tissues. When fewer nerves and less connective tissue are affected, the result is less discomfort and a shorter recovery time. The laser energy also cauterizes blood vessels the area being treated, which reduces bleeding and bruising. In addition, the laser energy stimulates the skin in the treated area, causing it to contract, which can lead to better result Please setup an appointment with our office at (203) 577-6550 to discuss further. Thanks again for the question and we look forward to speaking with you

Is Smartlipo the same as Liposuction or is there a difference?

Candice | Oct 8, 2019
Dr. Stanley Foster | Oct 8, 2019

Hi Candice, Here is the answer to your question. The following list of its advantages might just convince you to have Smartlipo instead of the traditional liposuction. Better results – Smart Lipo offers remarkable results. The use of a smaller cannula or tube means that the body is not put through a lot of trauma. This means shorter period of recovery and a smoother finished result. The incisions are so small, there is no need to have them stitched close after the procedure. Skin tightening – The laser energy used in the procedure offers skin tightening as well. It ensures that your skin will retract smoother over the fat also. Patients can get good results that will give you smooth contours afterwards. Shorter recovery and less discomfort – The recovery time is reduced dramatically by the use of laser energy and a narrower cannula. The laser seals tiny blood vessels in the treatment area, you will experience less bleeding and bruising. Call us at (203) 577-6550 to discuss further

Can you explain what a Tummy tuck is?

Candice | Oct 8, 2019
Dr. Stanley Foster | Oct 8, 2019

Hi Candice,First off thank you for stopping by my site to ask. Absolutely, let me explain. Your tummy tuck process will begin at your initial consultation with Dr. Foster or one of his staff where you will discuss your short and long-term goals and expectations, then our staff will explain the risks of the procedure, as well as any alternative treatments that may also work for you. Abdominoplasty can be a very intensive procedure. If a simpler procedure such as a liposuction might be more appropriate, Dr. Foster will let you know. It is important to mention that a tummy tuck is not an alternative form of weight loss. Dr. Foster will not perform abdominoplasty on severely obese individuals. If Dr. Foster determines that you are a good candidate for abdominoplasty, then you will arrange a date for your surgery at this time. Please setup an appointment with our office at (203) 577-6550 to discuss further. Thanks again for the question and we look forward to speaking with you

Am I too old to have a face lift?

Aguilar Jones | Oct 8, 2019
Dr. Stanley Foster | Oct 8, 2019

On a whole, age is not a huge factor in influencing your candidacy for a face lift procedure. Instead, the specific determinants of whether you are an ideal candidate for a face lift include the severity of your wrinkles and facial sagging, skin elasticity, and the state of your general health. By and large, smokers are advised to quit smoking months before and after surgery as smoking can significantly delay healing and increase one’s risk of complications With every procedure it is always best to have a consultation with us to make that all your questions and concerns are addressed about facial surgery. Please setup an appointment with our office to discuss further. We look forward to speaking with you. (203) 577-6550
