I spent 8 years attending Chinook grade school, starting in 1958. The restoration of the historic gym has turned it into a wonderful community asset for public events.

Great idea to restore this into a community center. A tip of the cap to those who did such a good job on the gym. The gym's viewing area railing still has initials that have been carved by students over the years. Nice touch. Aahh the simple days of pocket knives in schools ....

Questions & Answers

I worked for Chinook Packing Co. back in early 70's when Melvin Leback managed the place. What has become of this place. I left in 1972 for Alaska.
