I reached out for a question related to the traditions and received a thorough response that helped with a service committee I am on. AA saved my life. It works if you work it.

You can always count on them to help you either with getting help for loved one friend or relative or even directing one to Al-Anon for the friends and family. The site is fantastic.

I went to southside fellowship and Alcoholics anoymous asked me not to come to meetings again due to a medication i was taking for cancer. They do not keep to singleness of purpose of alcohol. It seems its more important policing and acting as if they are gods of political power. Which they are not. I flipped trucks when i drank alcohol. I havent drank in 4 years. But vines always ruin wood as i have been told. They should only care about men and women who have had problems with alcohol. The traditions arent held to this either. Alot ofr Bilaws being broken. Police, Politicians church and aa should never be mixed.

Yes. It’s an open meeting. Friday’s at 11 I think.
No one is forced to say it.
I believe it was in this month June 2021 grapevine magazine stated it has officially been changed
Google it. IDK
Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues, lest the AA name be drawn into public controversy. Because of this, I have no comment. It is an outside issue. I apologise, but it isn't AA's concern. Hotels are hotels. We don't choose them based on the politics or beliefs of their owners. It doesn't concern us.
What is the nearest office in woodhaven. in area 11421
Great question. There’s actually a suggested format or questions you can find. Not sure if they’re in the AA group pamphlet or if I found them searching on the aa gso website. I would start there though. Lots of resources.
Does not exist. Each Group is animated by a single primary purpose - to convery its message to the alcoholic who still suffers. So these issues do not affect fellowship.
I don’t think it says that anywhere but most agree the answers are In the big book. Groups are autonomous except when it can impact AA as a whole. If the conscience of your group decides to use non-AA approved literature that’s fine. Many people may have opinions. There are always other groups. My sponsor always says if you don’t like it you can always start your own group. I have to look at my own behavior and my urge to control everything. Acceptance is the solution to ALL my problems today.
AA has no medical opinions. It's a prescription from a medical Dr so that's between them and their Dr
No, I don't think so. When I visited in September 2021 the office was closed to visitors.
To his local A.A. or get ahold of the headquarters in NY to direct you better and thank you for your contribution

I have no idea what " Guru's " say, but anyone capable of comprehending the English language can decern the solution for alcoholism as offered by AA begins on page one and continues to page 103. The "Doctor's Opinion" is just that....a supporting professional opinion. As with most books, the Big Book begins on page one (1).
I am not too sure I will have to get back at you with that
Yes in the lower level cafeteria
As my mentor's said " Look it up " Start with the Front cover of the Big Book and Study not Read . Sponsor get Question and Answer Sponsorship pamphlet
I use to be a Combat Medic and a Civilian nurse . If you don't take medication you will spread TB . Also God isn't going to cure you of TB or Alcoholism as long as you don't take care of your self !
Depends on who you ask. I know for me that to take an illicit drug into my body or even to use a prescribed drug in a non prescribed way would be a lapse for me. You should talk to your sponsor about it.
Check out this link. It’s a pdf if the prayer and some other quotes. https://www.justloveaudio.com/resources/12_Steps_Recovery/Pre-Step_Work/Set-Aside_Prayer.pdf
There’s a great AA pamphlet that covers this and other questions. I believe it’s called the AA group. You can search for it on the aa gso website. Hope that helps.
Depends on the group. You can ask when you get there.
