I'm a little shocked to read the negative reviews. I lived in the Continental from March 2021 - June 2022 and I had an amazing experience. The leasing agent Nicole P is attentive and professional and the front desk team (Sam, Angel, Walter, Bogdan et.al.) are EXTREMELY helpful. I had one issue come up with my floors buckling, but Joe C. arranged to have the floors replaced within 48 hours, which I thought was reasonable. My unit was STUNNING and I had a direct unobstructed view of the Empire State Building. I also loved the in-unit washer and dryer, which is rare for studios. For constructive criticism, I'll say that it would be nice if the building hosted more community events. The building is close to Korea Town and if you don't identify with that community, you might feel ostracized. Also, keep in mind that the building is right next to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, so the druggies, crazies, and obnoxious folks are definitely out in full force and on the prowl... and frequently pass by the building. If I ever moved back to the city, I'd love to move back!

Terrible service. Our heater broke about a week ago, and still doesn't get fixed.  They came to fix two times and didn't solve the problem, the mad thing was after we requested the maintenance and no one came to fix the problem, and then we tried to ask them when they would come to fix the problem, the answer we got were always that you have to contact with the other department, the leasing office asked me to contact the front desk, the front desk asked me to contact other person. And no matter how many times I try to call the phone number that they gave me, it will never be answered.  Until now I'm staying in a room that I paid about $2300 a month and covering myself with the thickest cloth that I had and shaking my freezing leg like a homeless person on the street. Such ridiculous service which I had never experienced in another building before, and this was not the first time we experienced this terrible service here. About the toilet leak, they fixed it at least four times and the problem still exists, and the hilarious thing was that the handyman every time told me will come back to fix the problems later, but they never came back if we didn’t go to request again or called the office or front desk, and I totally believed what they said and waited them whole day, and such thing happened at least three or more times, it is just so irresponsible to promise someone something and then acted like they never said that. I don't blame on the handyman, because the first time was a handy man changed the whole huge machine alone,  that was a hard job, and he told me he was the only person to responsible for the whole building on that day, it means this building are facing insufficient employee problems, and this must be their management department issues. Again, this apartment is not worth their rental price.

The building staff at Continental staff are top-notch. They make you feel like part of a community from the day you sign the lease. I lived here for 3 years and enjoyed every aspect of it, largely due to the concierge, leasing, and maintenance staff at Continental. It is a crying shame that Continental is managed by NJ-based Middlesex Management, a giant heartless company who features poor customer service combined with deceptive business practices. They'll keep the interest earned on your security deposit as a "maintenance fee" even though it's been reported to the IRS as your earned income - so essentially, you pay income taxes on money that Middlesex keeps. When I come back to NYC later this year, I'll stay far away from any building managed by these crooks.

Do not rent an apartment here! There's a reason why there's so many vacancies here right now, everybody is trying to get out, the rents are super high for what you get and there's much better deals elsewhere in nyc. Plus there's jackhammering sounds inside every day so I can't even concentrate when trying to work at home during covid. Stay away!

Questions & Answers

Is John wick here

Yes. He sometimes comes here for business.

Why is the management of the gym and common areas so arrogant, unpleasant, demeaning and never willing to help? Always find reasons to say “no” to anything, rather than find a way to say “yes” or at least consider an alternative.

Because they can.
