If I could give this venue a 0 rating I would. This was the worse experience ever. I have a long list of complaints. I can not list them all. Where do I begin? Management called me the day before my even to inform me they do not have enough of the color chairs we requested to seat our guest. I booked this venue a year ago. I don't understand how they did not know they didn't have enough chairs to accommodate us. They tried to offer different color chairs that did not go with my color scheme. The chairs were very very dirty. Initially we were promised by former management (Mencia Feliz) that the chair cushions would be replaced before our event. However, that did not happen. We had to cover all of the chairs with white chair covers at the last minute. The manager (Raju) informed my family member that the venue was understaffed and asked could my family member or someone help cover the chairs. This was not their job to do. My event planner's staff had to help set up the tables. This was the job of the staff from the venue. My event was delayed due to the lights going out for several minutes at a time. No working outlets where needed. Production could not set up on time. They walked into a dark venue. The venue was very hot. My guest and myself were very uncomfortable due to the heat. My cake was melting due to the heat. My flowers started to wither due to the heat. We had to ask them several times to turn up the air. This was unacceptable. They did not provide all that was promised in my contract. A monitor for a slideshow was not provided that we paid for. They overcharged us for children. The contract reads $25 for a child under 12. We were charged $63 each. The staff did not know anything and only one staff member spoke English. They could not direct my wedding party to their rooms. I had deserts that were stored in the refrigerator for the event. They did not bring out all the desserts. We asked for them, they told my family member, that was it. The next day we went back for the top and middle part of our cake which they did not give us when the event was over. The cake was smashed and thrown in a box. Therefore, it had to be thrown away. Then we found the rest of the deserts that they said weren't there. They brought our fruit and chocolate fountain out at the last hour of our event. At that point more than half of my guests were gone. The chocolate was not heated. It was money wasted. I had to leavemy own event to address some of the concerns with management. They told me to come back the following week. When we met with them they were very dismissive, argumentative and unprofessional. They portrayed us to be liars. They told me to send an email with my concerns. However, they did not respond. We followed up with them after a couple of days. They were stalling, told us the owners were on vacation. We decided to go there again to discuss our concerns. Again, nothing was resolved. They did not care. They took no responsibility for their actions. They blamed us. They told us to take them to court. The managers (Raju and other manager) and staff are horrible. We were treated poorly. We spent alot of money at Lake Chateau and did not deserve this treatment. I wish I would have read the reviews before I booked this venue. Unfortunately, our day was ruined. This is what I will have to remember about this day. Do not waste your time or money at Lake Chateau. Again, "DO NOT" choose this venue.
