Context: Lived at 180 in a studio for 18 months. Overall: Beautiful building and apartments that don't make up for the poor management, dismissive customer service, and bad pricing. Leasing: The leasing team was effective, quick, and accommodating during our engagement with them. When it came time to leave in the midst of COVID and dealt with leasing-related matters, the team was, again, effective and kind in their dealings. Building: There isn't much to say here other than the building is beautiful and located in my favorite Manhattan neighborhood: Financial District spilling into Seaport and Battery Park. Apartments: The apartment itself in layouts, appliances, and finishes were a positive in our 18 month stay. The dryer gave us headaches with incomplete drying, but everything else was great. One negative is that the walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbor blasting music often. Amenities: For most of my time there, the gym was free to use. Eventually, they began charging for all amenities use, including the gym and pool. Given what you pay for your apartment, it's questionable to call yourself a luxury building and charge residents for amenities. Pricing: The pricing is very high given what you receive. You can find comparable or better deals that don't charge for amenities and have better staff. Management team: The management team is highly unfriendly. It seems like their approach to their job is not that this is your home, but rather that they are doing you the favor of paying expensive rent to live in their building. They don't have a semblance of customer service. They made moving out a nightmare and were ineffective in addressing a chronic issue of weed-smell in the halls that seeped into our apartment. The manager was combative multiple times. Doormen: The doormen are a wash. Some of them are effective and friendly while others carry the same mindset of the management team. Some are unfriendly and act like you are bothering them when asking for their help in something that is in their job description and advertised to you when you are searching.

Terribly Leasing Office. They can never be reached by the call. If you write emails they disregard all emails unless it's about lease renewal or new lease signing. Never expect a reply for you question or requests. That's it.

nice building, but you have to pay for the pool for only 2 hour access & life guard leaves & says we have to leave as well which cut our time 10 mins short. No big deal if it was free but if were paying money for an amenity then we should get the full service, Price triples on weekend which is insane!

Yes it is! They will also throw in one month free rent (assuming a 13 month lease). They will throw in 2 months of free rent if you rent for 24 months
