I have been with anchor homecare in Brooklyn since February 2022. Let me start off by saying I have been a homecare aide over 20 years. This agency is incompetent and that is being nice. When you are trying to reach a coordinator you can never find yours. You have to leave a message (just don't hold your breath).Thank goodness there are 2 coordinators I can say are actually consistent. Anyway on 6/21 I was asked to go to my patient the day after he was to receive service because I was out sick that Monday. I went everything was fine. The following week I didn't get paid.They see that I clocked in and out from the patient home but because the coordinator didn't put it in the system I serviced my patient for 5 hrs for free. I have yet to get my money. Eventually I will get it because I'm taking steps to make it happen but you wouldn't believe the aggravation I've been through. So with that being said my experience was terrible my patient I have now is wonderful and my other patient I left because they still haven't paid me. So choose wisely. The patient caregiver connection is what matters. If it wasn't for my patient they could kick rocks honestly.
