Columbus Park is a New York City Parks Department Park, but it can get dirty and unhealthy at times, even during the daytime. There are many folks including homeless folks that utilize the park for this and for that, and they might even smoke a joint or 2 from time to time. Parks' equipments break from time to time, but the broken equipment will get fix. Lights stays on in NYC parks until the parks close. Meanwhile in the daytime, there are children, school kids, mothers and fathers, nannies, grandparents, babies, Police Officers, Correctional Officers, Probation Officers, District Attorneys, Assistant District Attorneys and Judges that frequents Columbus Park on a daily basis. There are folks that goes to the park to meet friends for lunch, gossips, play cards and listen to live music (Peking Opera) performed by seniors.
Not very big. More of an urban greenspace. Roughly 500-1000 ft from what I remember. A lot of seating, picnic tables, elderly people playing mahjongg, and playing Chinese music. Definitely worth checking out.
I don't understand if you ask
