Super cool restaurant. Loved the decor, the service and the food. If you're a vegan, this isn't your place. If they have any good options, you still will not appreciate the decorating decisions. But for meat eaters, this place is super cool.

We just moved to Waynesville, and are trying restaurants around the area. We love the Red Stag Grill. Had reservations about trying it based on previous reviews. But I am glad we came. Definitely a place to visit when you're in town for fine dining, instead of the more bastardized options in the area. We recommend starting off with the charcuterie (hunt board). The pickled artichoke had staying power for flavor.. Then, the bison short-rib. Slides off the bone. Love the environment and the vibe. Will be coming back soon. And I was really surprised when our bill arrived. Drinks, appetizers and Duck / Bison entree came out to 123+ tax.

We went here for breakfast in the morning. There was a short delay because as every other business in the country is shorthanded this place was a bit short-handed. The service was good after that and the oatmeal with fresh fruit was perfect. I really like the castle themed decor and would definitely go back and visit again. I've heard that dinner is really good here.

Really good first experience. Service was great. Food was pretty darn good. Drinks were good. The atmosphere in Red Stag is awesome. It’s got a darker vibe and even has illuminated menus! Definitely would return to try some other dishes.
