Great exterior, poor interior. The shower and carpet are gross. Bed bolted together with 2x4's... Place is like stepping back to the 60's and hasn't been remodeled. Feel bad to write this. Loved the owners but I won't return.

The Oak Park Inn is a decent place to stay, close to downtown Waynesville (.2 miles) and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. As others have said, the rooms are dated but clean. I was surprised how soundproof it was considering the age. I never heard either of my neighbors. Great for motorcycles, assigned parking spots directly in front of the room. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

We brought our two big dogs to stay here and it was a perfect pet friendly spot! The rooms are not anything fancy, but it was perfect for our needs. The grounds were landscaped nicely, and lots of outdoor seating areas. Would stay here again!

Pet friendly rooms have black mold and a strong mildew smell. In the room I stayed in, there was blood on the seat cushion and insects in the bed. These rooms should not be rented out. Fortunately I found another option after one night. Otherwise, I would have bought a tent. I could not stay longer.
