Beautiful building. A little cramped when it is busy, but that is a small price to pay to pass an afternoon here. Clean restroom.

Everyone is so nice, there is a garden in the back, the process for checking out is easy, upstairs kids section has so many books! Great kids activity area too.

I love this library. It's my local library and a really nice place to get work done without distractions :)

My experience with this NYPL branch has been great! It's never crowded, probably because it's sort of tucked away between avenues, and the staff is generally very nice. There's outlets and tables and computers and bathrooms. The printing process is not very streamlined though, and it makes getting work done difficult sometimes.

They still working on it. According to the email they've sent, repairs will end by August 13th
No. They had some construction problems so they are off until August 13th. They've sent an email to members.
Hello Mike, Thank you for thinking of the Library! We would love to accept your New Yorkers
Hello Nancy. There is a quiet study room downstairs along with a garden. They are open when one of our volunteers is present to run them (most days one hour after library opening to one hour before library close ). In the morning hours before 3pm it is relatively quiet on the first and second floors
Hello Barbara, We do have Teen programs that Tweens are welcome to as well. Mostly it is Teen Lounge Mondays through Thursdays from 3-5pm. It is Open PC time in our computer lab with a librarian or a volunteer with experience teaching. They are there to direct teens to any resources NYPL may have to help the child do their homework. The Teens are also welcome to relax and socialize with their friends in a safe library setting. We do have occasional special programs that range from meeting animals from wildlife sanctuaries in the library, to college prep classes. There is a dedicated Teen area on the first floor as well. The library has a Young Adult Librarian who is more than welcome to answer any questions your child may have. We also welcome programming suggestions and feedback. Best, -The Staff
