We booked a no-smoking room. My husband is greatly affected by cigarette smoke, even stale. Things were fine til the next a.m. after checking in the night before. There was cigarette smoke pouring in the bathroom vent. It was so bad that we both were coughing just trying to get a quick shower. When we told the person on duty, she said the room that would be affecting us was booked by a long-term stay. They had already had complaints about him smoking in other areas close to the building. She offered no discount or anything. After calling Wyndham, we were finally offered a 15% discount. Not ok. At all. We are long-time Wyndham customers which should have meant something.

It's in a good part of town, in west Knoxville, close to plenty of shopping malls and restaurants. The pool was clean enough but there was no towels provided for swimming so you have to use your bath towels. The cleaning girl was very hard working and did a great job on our room. The only issues I had: one rude person at the front desk (but all the rest of them were very nice and helpful) and my room smelled like mildew or mold. I have seen a lot of hotels and this one is not the worst or best but I will probably be staying there again. They had the best price on booking.com. 😆

After a long day of travel and several hours of trying to find a hotel for the night we finally found this one. It was around 4:30am when we arrived, the lady was so helpful and very nice even tho we had to check out by 10am. The hotel was clean, our room was very clean and smelled nice, the bathroom and shower was huge, and the beds was comfortable. On our way to check out we saw the pool area, it was very clean and nice. If ever in the area again I would definitely stay here!

While the room was clean and comfortable, three things detracted from my enjoyment: 1) the TV was NOT user friendly. There was no program guide on the TV and you could not just enter a channel number and get that channel. You had to scroll through the channels one at a time before you could reach the channel you wanted…a total waste of time. 2) the bathroom had damage to the shower compartment wall that needed to be repaired and the shower curtain had in the past been forcefully ripped from the wall and had been held in place by a poor repair of the mounting surface. 3) breakfast offerings in the morning were minimal with no juice or fruit. The overall experience was subpar and I doubt I will return to this Super8.
