This is an old classic golf course in the Richmond area. Has the distinction of holding the PGA Championship and Bobby Jones playing back in 1946 I believe. I played there today and I was really surprised at how good of condition the fairways and greens and tee boxes for that matter we're in. Nice wide open layout that is very novice friendly. Henrico county is the current owner but I believe it's going to be transitioning to a private company I certainly hope that they do not let the course go downhill. Worth every penny if you get an opportunity come out.

For safety reasons we do not allow fishing in the pond.
Lise, we have two golf professionals on site who offer lessons - https://www.playbelmontrva.org/instruction/. Additionally, we offer First Tee - Greater Richmond programs at Belmont, though our fall programs have already started. I think the county has an agenda to do something else with the golf course. We as county residents need to find out what they have in mind. They have let this course go to pot for some reason. The county has told the course workers not to do anything to the traps. They do not even rack them . It a crying shame that they have not put any effort in trying to improve the course. Someone is looking to get something by letting this wonderful course go.
