Really informative nature programs. Everyone is so helpful, nice and knowledgeable. The Visitor Center is a nice place to visit and learn about the natural habitat. There are also very clean restrooms here and a large deck with a mounted telescope that overlooks the water. The receptionist is also available to answer any questions about the nature programs and about the local wildlife. The building is very clean and has rocking chairs to rest and relax for a moment. There is plenty of parking near the building.

Brookside gardens is lLocated at 1800 Glenallan Avenue

It says it closes at 5pm, can we stay later to catch the sunset or do they kick you out?

The park stays open later than 5:00 pm. I think it's the office that closes at that time. When entering the park there is a sign that says that the park closes at sunset, so it will be close call, if you want to watch the sunset.

Can you swim
